THE Te Kuiti Borough Council hereby give 3 public notice that it proposes to raise a Special Loan of Twenty - one Thousand pounds (£21,000) for the purpose of construction and improvement of the roads and footpaths in the princioal business and residential streets within the Borough; the extension of the sewerage and water systems; erection of an impounding Dam at the Water Supply intake; the> diversion of the river at the junction of Rora street and Waiteti road, erection of a bridge over the river at Sheridan street; and other requisite works, conditionally upon the combined rate of interest and sinking fund not exceeding six per centum per annum, and for the repayment thereof to make an annually recurring Special Rate not exceeding One penny in the Pound upon the capital value of the whole of the Borough for the purpose o£ providing the required security and to meet the interest and sinking fund charges during the currency of the said loan. It is proposed to pay out of the said Loan the cost of raising same together with the first year's interest thereon. By Order, F. EDWARD LAMB, Town Clerk. WAITTOMO COUNTY COUNCIL. NOTICE TO LEVY GENERAL RATE. NOTICE is hereby given that in accordance with section 117 of "The Counties Act, 1908," "The Rating Act, 1908," and amendments thereto the Waitomo County Council at its next meeting to be held on October 21st, 1912, propose to make and levy a general rate of one penny in the £ (pound) on the Capital value of all ratable property within the Waitomo County, such rate shall be for period commencing on the first day or April, 1912, and ending on the 31st day of March, 1912, such rate to become due and payable in one sum on the fifth day of November, 1912. The rate books will be open for inspection from Monday, October 7th, 1912, to Monday, October 21st. 1912, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the following places: — Waitomo Riding—Post office, Waitomo.
