Own Correspondent. A new post office, under the name of Rira, has been opened at Mr C. J. Eidde's residence on the Aria-Matiere road, five miles from Aria. Settlers in that part of the district will no doubt find this increase in postal facilities a pleasing change from the erst-time trudge through the mud to Aria. The mail service for the present is a weekly ona -with Mr Gill as carrier. It is hoped that ere long the service will be more frequent.
