To the Editor. Sir, —In reference to the proposed scheme to sub-divide and sell the recreation ground, and use the proceeds in the purchase of land elsewhere for a domain, I take the liberty of suggesting- —■ (1) That it will be a very great pity if such an open space (situated as it is close alongside the State school, and right in the town), cannot be reserved as such; and (2) that the proposal to sell the ground is of sufficient importance to warrant the taking of a poll of the burgesses on the matter. —I am, etc. NEW ZEALANDER. To Kuiti, September K>th, 1912.
