TE KUITI DEBATING SOCIETY.
| The usual meeting of the Te Kuiti Debating Society will be held tomorrow evening, when the new Cabinet under the leadership of Mr E. H. Hardy, will take office. The working of the new Ministry is looked forward to with considerable interest in view of the fact that it represents an experiment in the shape of an elective executive. It is the popular opinion that a wise choica has been made and that some really sound and progressive measures will be introduced for debate during the term of the executive. The bulk of the proposals, it is expected, will be foreahadnwed in the Governor's Speech, which will be read to-morrow night. The portfolios allotted to the various Ministers have not yet been officially announced, but it is understood the offices will probably be filled as follows;—E. H. Hardy, Prime Minister, Lands and Native Affairs; N. C. Matthew, Railways; H.A. Ellison, Public Works; R. B. Webber, Education and Postmaster-General; C. F. Tur ner, Labour; H. Hine, AttorneyGeneral and Justice; P. Floyd, Internal Affairs.
