TE KUITI DEBATING SOCIETY.
The usual meeting of the Parliamentary Union under the auspices of the Te Kuiti Debating Society will be held in the Municipal Hall to-morrow evening, when the debate on the Proportional Representation Bill will be continued. It is rumoured that the happy relations which existed in the ranks of the Government have been somewhat strained of late, and developments are expected 'in the near future. In consequence of the numerous changes in the Government there is a growing desire for a more settled and permanent form of Government. The idea of an elective executive is rapidly growing in favour and "the writing on the wall'' indicates that this system will be given a trial in the near future.
