EGYPTIAN PERFUMES. ■ The ancient Egyptians were marvellous perfumers. Jars of scent have been found in the sarcophagi of Egyptian princesses that must have been made at least three thousand years ago, and when opened the perfume is found to be as strong and sweet and delicate as it was thirty centuries ago ! It is only rarely that perfumes are found in mummy cases, but when thev are thev jirove to be exquisitely pure.
