-«► GOOD SIGNS FOR ROOSEVELT. By Telcsrniiih.-'l'rcsi Association. --Copyriglit New York, Thursday. The final returns of the Vermont elections gives 26,000 vol;ca for tho regular Republicans, 20,000 for tho Democrats and 1 f>,()<)(> for Mr Roosevelt's party. The Progressives won seven of tho eleven Congressional districts. The Prohibition vote totalled H,OUO. The Progressive victory in the Stato elections ensures the nomination of Presidential electors pledged to support Mr .Roosevelt. The Republicans supporting Mr Taft are disheartened, and tho Democrats are jubilant,, feeling that tho split in tho Republican ranks is certain to mean a Democratic win. The result is admitted as boing serious for the Republican forces. A similar result baa not occurred during the years in which tho Republicans have been sunromo in the State Legislature and all other officeß. Pr/iqirfpnf 'Tn-Tf li-mi .nal liinn.,'-- ■ -
