OBITUARY.

Widespread regret was expressed when the news of the death of Mrs White, wife of Mr W. F. White, stationmaster at Te Kuiti, was circulated on Monday. Mrs had been suffering for a considerable time with an injured leg and some days ago proceeded to Auckland to consult Dr Savage. An operation was deemed necessary, and the limb was amputated, but the patient did not survive the shock The deceased lady had been resident at Te Kuiti for over rive years and was highly esteemed by all who knew her. The deepest sympathy is felt for Mr White in his bereavement.
