ORGAN RECITAL.
Last evening the Rev. E. Chitty gave a recital on the new organ, when all lovers of music had a great treat. The power and capabilities of the instrument were well shown in the "War March of the Priests,"' which was finely rendered, while the sweeter tones and soft stops were exhibited to perfection both in Lemare's Adantino in D flat, and also in a sweet little piece by Wolster.holme, "The Answer." The congregation are to be congratulated on the possession of such a fine instrument and were very fortunate in getting a such a good organist as Mr Chitty for the opening. Mrs Rouse sang "0, Rest in the Lord" with sweetness and feeling, and Mr Blackman :*gave "Incline Thine Ear" very well. The choir sang two anthems well, under the capable leadership of Mr Branson. The Rev. E. Chitty will preside at the organ to-morrow, both in the morning and evening, aa well as at the children's service in the afternoon. He will also preach in the evening.
