A Mexican Joan of Ave, with ten rebel leaders as followers, entered the town of Jaurez and disarmed the chief of police. Six of the woman's followers, securing the police horses, entered the stores and demanded provisions. After holding the town for a few hours the party rode away. It is believed that the leader is the wife of Colonel Lnzro Alamis, the rebel commander, who is operating round Palonas. A vigilance guard has been armed to prevent a further invasion of the town.
