The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd., report: At Ohaupo on 13th inst. we yarded 550 store cattle and 128 dairy caws and heifers. Although there was a steady demand, prices for young cattle were a trifle easier; but, nevertheless, nearly everything changed hands at auction or after wards. We quote: Three year steers £5 15s to £tl Ll*, 2 to 2h year steers £4 12a to £4 ss, yearling steers choice quality £3 8s to £3 9s Gd, mixed yearlings £2 83 to £3, IS month to to two year empty heifers £3 17s 6d to £1 (is yearling heifers £3 2s 6d to £3 10s, fat cows £6 3s to £7, killable cows £5 12s to £5 17s Gd, empty store cows £3 12s Gd to £4 2s fid, dairy cows £5 10s to £S 10s, heifers close to profit £7 It's to £!) 2s 6d, others £6j to £G 17s Gd, furward wethers made 18s to ISs 7d two tooth ewes in lamb 20s. At Matamata on 14th inst., we yarded 630 head of cattle also sheep and pigs. There was a large attendance of buyers from Waikato districts, Mamaku, Rotorua, and Te Puke and the whole entry was disposed of under brisk competition.
