COUNTY ENGINEER.

MR E. GOULD APPOINTED

• A large number of applications were received for the position of engineer to the Waitomo County Council, and were dealt with at the Council meeting on Monday evening. In the iitjal ballot Mr E. Gould was chosen for the position. Mr Gould is at present employed in the Public Works Department being stationed at Raurimu. He has already had experience of county work, having been engineer to the Waimarino County some years ago. He left the county to take up his present position with the Public Works Department. The new engineer will commence his duties at the beginning of Ocober.
