TOTALISATOR PERMITS.
RANGITIKEI EE-INSTATED.
A deputation introduced by Mr &. Newman, M.P., representing the Marton Racing Club on Tuesday waited on the Prime Minister and asked that the four days' racing given to the Marton Club should not be interfered with.
The Prime Minister said that the Minister for Internal Affairs, Mr H. D. Bell, had carefully considered both the Rangitikei and Marton Club's positions, and it had been decided that Marton should be reduced to three days, and two days should be given to jtangitikei, one of the metropolitan clubs to be reduced by one day to equalise matters. Although no legislation woud be introduced during the present session, later on legislation was in ~contemplation,..making. an ception in favour of hunt clubs, who were suffering some hardships now, and they desired to give such clubs one day's racing a year.
