TAFT AND THE SENATE.
A WAKM REBUKE.

Washingotn, Thursday.
The Senate has adopted a resolution denouncing any attempt on the part of the President to influence a vote within the Senate's exclusive jurisdiction. The resolution is considered to b9 a rebuke to President Taft —who is alleged to have influenced the Republican senators against Senator Lorimer. who has just been unseated on the grounds of alleged election bribery.
The Demjcratic leader (Mr Oscar Underwod) declares that the party's chances in the Presidential election campaign were never brighter. Mr Woodrow Wilson, he says, is certain to b eelected President.
