OTOROHANGA.

On Tuesday evening, July 2nd a social was held in the Methodist Church, in aid of the Presbyterian Church building fund. The Rev. Woollass Moderator for the charge, presided. The entertainment took the form of a nursery rhyme competition. Mrs Bell and Miss Strahan tied for first prize; Mrs Bell winning the next guess took first prize—a carved tea pot stand—and Miss Strahan, a lace about. Miss £. Morley and Master Bert Elliott won the children's prizes, and Mr Macdonald the gentlemen's—a pipe. Musical items were rendered by Messrs Woollass and Price Owen, and Miss Strahan.
