BACKBLOCKS ASSOCIATION.
UNITED LOCAL BODIES. At the last meeting of the Whangamomona County Council a letter was received from the Waitomo County Council with reference to the question of forming a Backblocka Association. —Cr McCutchan proposed and Cr Meredith seconded, "That the letter be acknowledged, and the Waitomo County Council be informed that the council was willing to fall in with the suggestion, and would suggest that the meeting of the bodies interested be held at Ohura later on in the season if possible.'
