A sitting of the Te Kuiti Police Court was presided over by Mr E. H. Hardy on Thursday. W. McGarvey was fined 20s and coats for drunkenness; Donald McDonald, for being drunk and disorderly was mulct in 40a and costs, while Joseph McManus on a charge of using obscene language as convicted and fined £3 and costs. A meeting of the Mokau-Waite-whenua Railway League will be held at Pio Pio on Friday, July 12th, at 2 p.m.
