AMUSEMENTS.
HAYWARD'S PICTURES. There wag a good house at the Town Hall last night to witness the production cf a new programme by Hayward's Enterprises. T&e star film "Gipsy Blood," attracted most attention, the acting and setting being of the best. The supporting films were also of the best quality. Hayward's have arranged for a production on.Monday night of "Mam'zelle Nitouche," a picture in motion of tne charming comic opera of that name. Thsi star attraction is one of the best yet screened, and is'well T7orth seeing. The opera had a successful run soma years ago in Australia, and those who were unable to see it on that occasion should not miss the pictured
representation of it. Hayward's pictures will also be shown on Wednesday night when a change of programme iB advertised. 1 ' FULLER'S PICTURES. The weekly appearance of the above pictrueß were screened on Thursday evening last, a fair number of patrons being present. The programme submitted was a very good one and worthy of increased support by the picture-loving community. The star filijt was "Thrown to the Lions." A very special feature of the entertainment was the apporpriate music supplied hy Mr Christian, which very materially assisted the swing of the pictures. Mr Christian has been secured for the /weekly appearance of Fuller's pictures. The seat selected by our representative was not occupied. Next Thursday two seats will be selected and five shillings presented to occupiers.
ENGLISH PIERROTS. At the Town Hall last Thursday evening the by the English Pierrots was unquestionably one of the best yet submitted to a Te Kuiti audience, and the appreciation extended to the artists by the patrons were whole-hearted and unanimous. The greatest compliment that could be extended to the combination was the expressions of regret that the ope night's entertainment could not have been extended to a season- To individualise the performance o£ the artists would is unnecessary as the word artists applies to each member in its true sense. The hope is generally expressed that when the Pierrots are touring again a visit to Te Kuiti will be included amongst towns to be visited, &nd we feel assured a packed house will welcome the managment and artists. - PROFESSOR SWALLOWS' CONCERT. **- * We have much pleasure in drawing detention to the announcement in another column of Professor's forthcoming concert in the Town Hali, on Wednesday. July 24th. ItJs sure to be a fine concert, both of interesting and educational value, and will be looked forward to with considerable enthusiasm by the musical public.
