Shipments of lamb now arriving are heavy, but high prices are restricting business. Canterbury Old, other than Canterbury Cd. Beef. —The market is dull. Supplies of American chilled beef are large. New Zealand hinds -1.-cl, forca 3? ; d. The average price of River Plate chilled hinds is 4id, fores irl/t'd. Butter. —The market is weaker, and the tendency is downwards. Supplies are increasing, and the weather continues favourable to an increase in the production at Home and on cue Continent. Choicest New Zealand butter, per cwt. 11 os, Australian 107, Danish 11.95, Siberian 10.ig. Cheese.—The market is a shade eaiser for Home mak'e, and it !s expected that there will be large supplies. The market is slightly weaker, with less demand on account of fine weather for Home crop.
