THE DOMINION LOAN.

Reference to the loan of £4,500,000 which the New Zealand Government is raising was made by thn Premier in an interview with a Post representative to-day. The loan, he said, was principally for repaying old loans maturing, advances already received in anticipation of receiving authorised loans, and for payment for the Dreadnought. Full details would be given to Parliament at earliest opportunity. "I have no observation to make in regard to the loan," added Mr Mackenzie, "beyond thin, that the money is required, and il is being raised on the host. {■. vms that w« can raise it.
