TE KUITI SCHOOL COMMITTEE.
A meeting of the Te Kuiti School Committee was held on Thursday evening. There were present Messrs J. P. Walsh (chairman), P. Floyd (secretary), Rev. Wayne, H. Jane, Bailey Robinson and Steel. Hanging Bell.—The secretary of the Education Board wrote stating that the committee's application for a bell wouid be granted. The report uf the visiting committee was of a satisfactory nature and was adopted, a3 was the report from the headmaster. Library Books.—A list of books for the library school was submitted and approvecffor forwarding to the Education Board.
High School —Mr Floyd drew attention to the fact that little had been heard of the High School project of late. He thought some intimation should be given to those who had signified their intention of supporting the
scheme. Several members spoke to the eftect that the matter should be kept moving and it was decided that further efforts should be made with a view to having the school established. School Entrance. The chairman reported that Mr Farrell, architect, and Mr Barriball, member of the board had visited the school and an arrangement had been come to regarding the entrance. Messrs Rooinson 2nd Steel were appointed a visiting committee for the ensuing term. A number of accounts were passed for Dayment.
