KING STREET BRIDGE APPROACHES.

Sir,—l have heard rumours for some time past that our local council intend draining and filling up the lakes on the road and shifting the mud from the approaches to the bridge in King street. I sincerely hope they are only joking. For the safety of the travelling public, they would do well to have some fences put around the deepest.
