HOCKEY.
The Te Kuiti Hockey Club have been fortunate in securing from Mr W. McColl eleven jerseys, and Mr R. Fenton, a handsome cup for competition between Thursday and Saturday teams Mr McColl's presentation covers the season for Te Kuiti rep. team. The men's team journey to Taumarunui to-morrow to try conclusions with the local eleven. A fairly strong combination will be got together, and the game should be a means of acquainting the players with their positions in the field and serve as a real good chance of proving the players' merits to be included in the team to play Te Awamutu at Te Kuiti on Monday. As the ladies' team plays Te Awamutu ladies at Te Kuiti on Monday, all members of the local club are requested to attend practice at Cotters' paddock to-morrow afternoon as the team to represent Te Kuiti will probably be picked after the practice. Several girls are about as good as one another on the field of play, therefore it behoves each member of the club to attend if desirous of being included in the team.
