METHODIST CHURCH.

The members of the Quarterly Meeting and Finance Committee met on Monday evening when a report of the land scheme was laid before the meeting showing that all the money required to purchase the freehold sections, namely, £320, would be in hand by June 4th. The collectors were thanked for their effort?—a special vote being extended to Mr J. Nicholls for his untiring endeavours in this connection. The collectors explained that owing to the multiplicity of claims upon local residents they had decide not to canvas 5 ) ir. the district and most of the money has been raised from outside sources. The meeting * close with prayer and the Benediction.
