EMPIRE PICTURE COMPANY
Another excellent prorgamme was produced on Monday evening at Te Kuiti Town Hall, in the presence of a large and enthusiastic audience. Some very beautiful pictures were shown, chief of which may be mentioned the magnificently coloured Pathe masterpicee, "A Florentine Drama" and the coloured floral study, "Gladiolus and Its Varieties." These two, apart from other splendid items, were v?orth the price of admission. On Friday evening next the company will present the great exclusive star picture "Vanity Fair," an adaptation from Thackeray's well known work of that name. The film is over 3000 feet in length, and will take up most of the second half of the programme. It has drawn packed audiences in all the big centres, and is said to be one of the finest photo-plays ever seen on the screen. From start to finish it never loses its interest. "Vanity Fair" should appeal to all, esDecially to lady patrons, the beautiful costuming of the principal characters being a special feature of the great play.
