BOWLING.
On Wednesday last two rinks from the local club journeyedgp Te Awamutu where a match was played against Te Awamutu Ciub. Though the time was short two full games were played. The following are the teams and the results of the matches, Te Kuiti being mentioned first in each case: —Spencer, Matthew, Eriksson and Phillips 25 v. White, Woollass, Bowden and Clement .10; Williams, Stevens. Julian and Alhrechtsen 17 v. Clement, Wallace, i.awrie and Brown 2-1; totals: To Kuiti 12, Te Awamutu 40. A pleasant afternoon concluded with cheers for the visitors, followed by three hearty cheers for the ladies.
On Thursday afternoon further games were played in connection with the club matches. In the singles Spencer defeated Julian, and in the pairs Matthew and Eriksson defeated Dransfield and Porter. The green was in splendid condition. The remain ing games of the present round have to be completed by Saturday next,
