TE KUITI BOROUGH COUNCIL.
ELECTION OF COUNCILLOR. As a result of the election of Mr E. H. Hardy to the position of Mayor, a vacancy was created on the council. Two nominations were received for the vacancy in the shape of Messrs Peter Floyd and Mostyn Jones. Considerable interest was manifested in the contest, the polling for which took place yesterday. When the poll was declared it was seen that Mr Floyd was sucessful by a majority of 57 the voting being Mr Floyd 159, Mr Jjnes 102.
