TE KUITI MUNICIPAL BAND.
The meeting held on Monday night in Mr McDonald's shop was not so well attended as could have been desired, owing mainly to its clashing with various other arrangements.
Some important business was, however, put through, including a change of name. It was moved by Mr Fletcher and seconded by Mr Reed, that the motion referring to the name of the band, be rescinded, and that the band be called "The Te Kuiti Municipal Band." —Carried. A considerable amount of money has been promised. The meeting was adjourned till Friday, 10th inst., at 7.30 p.m., in Mr McDonald's shop. Bandsmen and others interested are most urgently requested to be present at this meeting. We would point out that if they permit others to do all the initial work they will have no right to complain after if things are not arranged exactly as they would wish, and it is desired, if as far as possible, to suit everyone.
