PIO PIO MEDICAL FUND.

The concert, in aid cf the Pio Pio medical fund, wh'ch is to he held on Tiiursdny, May 16th. at; the Te Kuiti Town Hall, is already arousing considerable interest in the district. A specially attractive programme is being arranged and it is anticipated a large number of settlers from out back will make a special journey to lie present at the function. The object, is a worthy one, and it is hoped the efforts of the settlers will be heartily supplemented by the town residents. The need for medical aid in the back country is urgent and by contributing to the success of the concert the people are fulfilling a public duty. Apart from that aspect of the question, however, the concert: which is being promoted is of sufficient men I to warrant the fullest, support. No effort is being spared to add to the attractions and performers are making considerable sacrifices in the public interests to assure its success
