TE KUITI SCHOOL COMMITTEE.

The usual monthly meeting was held at the Chronicle office on Thursday evening. In the absence of the chairman Dr Paxton presided, and there were also present Messrs Floyd, Bailey, Jane, Robinson and Steel.

The chairman and Mr Robinson were appointed a visiting committee for the ensuing month. School Library.—The secretary of the Board of Education wrote intimating upon what terms the subsidy would be available.

It was decided that a further application should be made to the Board of Education for a bell. The chairman intimated that Mrs Hardy was presenting a flag to the school. cordial thanks of the committee be conveyed to Mrs Hardy for the gift, and that she be requested to officially hoist the flag on Empire Day.

Entrance to School.—A letter was read from the board's architect with respect to the erection of a bridge for the entrance to the school ground. —lt was decided to leave the matter in the hands of the chairman with power to act.

School Prizes. —A sub-committee consisting of Dr Paxton, Messrs Robinson and Steel was appointed to co-operate with the headmaster in the matter of school prizes.
