Newton King reports: — Notwithstanding the very wet weather I had a fair entry at Rahotu on 23rd April, and a good attendance, bidding was brisk right through. Weaner steers 18s 8d to 265, weaner heifers, Jersey-Holstein cross £2 12s, grade heifers 31s to 365, weaners, mixed 25s 6d to 295, mixed yearlings 41s fid, 15 months steers £2 19s, 2 year heifers in calf £4 7s 6d. 3 year bullocks £b Ss Bd, store cows £1 12s to-£3 6s, forward cows £4, fat cows £5 7s Gd, bull £2 10s. At Mr W. J. Parson's clearing sale at Pukearuhe, Urenui, on April 24th, there was a large an 3 representative attendance of buyers. The cows were mostly second and third caivers in good condition, realising, after good competition from £4 15s to £lO ss, 2 year Jersey cross heifers in calf £5 to £8 15s, bulla £2 5s to £3 ss, 2 and 2h year steers £3 18s, yearling heifers £2, Jersey grade calves 36s 6d to 455, horse £ls 15s, hoggets, 12s sd, f.m. ewes, ss, porkers 235, sows 20s to 555.
