A ONE-SIDED BOROUGH.
To the Editor.
Sir. Why the borough improvements should all be confined to the south and south-east portions of Te Kuiti, and the northern corner uncared for and neglected a number of ratepayers would like to know, I refer to the Mangaorino, which is the main road from the corner of Mr Moore's property leading up the iiiil the metal is worn through to the clay in many places, the water tables filled np while most of the original culverts have been blocked since the Council took control. For the further discomfort of those living along this road the City |Fathers have thought fit to make a filling six feet deep and about three chains long which has been left for the past two months unmetalled. The result is that heavy wheel traffic is blocked and the road dangerous for pedestrians by night. This is certainly the most j disgraceful piece of muddling I ever came in contact with under the plea of improvements. —I am, etc., H. A. ELLISON. !
