Messrs Dalgety and Co., Ltd., re uort as follows: —

We held our usual monthly sale at these yards on April 22nd, when the advertised number of cattle were yarded. We quote:—Light porkers 29a, fat ewes 13s, store lambs 6s 5d to 7s, 2 year bullocks £5 5s to £5 7s 6d> forward cows £3 14s to £4, store cow £3 Gs to £3 10s, calves 24s to 7s. We held our usual fortnightly sale at Obaupo on April 23rd. Owing to the r boisterous day the yarding was small but what we offered changed hands. ;We quote:—2A year heifers in calf £5, 2 year heifers in calf £3 Us, 18 months empty heifers £3 ss, empty cows £2 ss, milking cows £3 Us, goad calves 425.

On Wednesday the 24th April, we held our usual sale at the Te Uku yards, when we had a full yarding. In spite of the very wet day there was a large attendance and bidding was spirited, nearly all lines changing hands. We quote: —Fat cows .-£5 ss, 18 months to 2 year steers £3 5s to £3 ISs Gd, 18 months to 2 year heifers £3 5s to £3 10s, 18 month heifers in calf £3 12s Gd, cow with coif £5 12s Gd.

The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd., report: —■ On April 23rd there was a medium yarding at O'nauno, but owing! to the boisterous weather very little business was done. On April 24th, we held a clearing sale at Karapiro on account of Mr N. Reynolds. We quote: Dairv cows £7 Is to £9 10s, calves 40s. "medium draught marcs in foal £lB to £27, light harness horses £l4 to £2O, ponies £3 7s (id to £4 ss.

At Hamilton on April 25th wo had a good yarding of fat and store cattle, which were all required, but sheep and pigs were very dull of sale. We quote Fat cows £5 10s to £6 ss, cows in forward condition £4 to £4 12s 6d, store cows £3 2s (id to £3 12s fid, 2 year Jersey cross heifers in calf £G (is to £6 ISs, Shorthorn ditto £0 5s to £6 10s, smaller ditto £5 to £5 7s 6d. well grown calves 40a to 425, smaller sorts 21s to 2Ss, store wethers 10s 6d to 13s Bd, weaner pigs 5s to 7s 6d, slips 10s to 13s, good porkers 29s to 30s.
