The Farmers' Auctioneering Co., Ltd., report— At Te Kuiti on April 10th we had a yarding of 1117 head of cattle ana 1800 sheep. The cattle were in splendid condition and all well bred. Competition, however, was dull and a number remained unsold;. Prices —Prime fat steers £9 ss, fat cows £4 15s to £5 ss. forward 3 and 3J year steers £6 15a to £7 ss, nice quality 2J to 3 year steers not so forward in condition £5 10s to £6, 2 and 2\ year steers £4 10s to £4 15s, 18 months steers £3 10s to £4 2s 6d, fresh cows £3 10s to £4, good wearier calves 35s to 42i Gd, yearling steers and heifers £2 10s to £2 15s, 2 and 4 tooth wethers 12s 6d to 13s 9d, fat ewes lis Id, small 2 tooth ewes 10s 3d, shorn lambs 5s Gd to 6s Gd.
Messrs Dalgety allll Co., Ltd., report as follows: At Te Awamutu on the loth inst. we held our usual monthly sale when we had a fair yarding. There was a good attendance, and bidding'!was keen for all young stock, especially calves. We quote—Frit cows £5 15s to 10s, forward cows £4 7s (id, empty cows £3 7s (id to £:> Lis, heifers in calf £4 5s to £5 is, yearling steers £2 15s, IS months steers £o 17s, bulls up to £5 ss, bull calves .''7s lid to '.l2s, good calves oSs to poorer surts 25s to :57s fid, springing heifers .-£. l 12s 6d to £7 10s, milking cows £:> LOs to £5 2s 6d, fat ewes lis Id, fat wethers 16s Gd, mixed sheep 7s 4d, sucking pigs lis (id, -J year draught gelding £l6 ss, waggonette £7 7s lid.
