VOLCANO IN PANAMA.
HUNDREDS PERISH. VILLAGES DEMOLISHED. Mobile, Thursday. Vessels arriving from Panama report a violent eruption of £hiriqui Peak, in the western extremity of Panama, near Bocas del Toro. Hundreds of Indiana perished, whole villages being wiped out. The volcano wbb never before known to be active. Clouds of dust were wafted out to sea, and rocks were thrown 100 feet into the air.
