OBITUARY.

Settlers throughout the district will regret to learn of the death of Mr J. H. Bevege, eldest son of Mr George Bevege, of Pio Pio. Deceased had been ill for some time, having been an inmate of the Hamilton Hospital for ten weeks. He was thought to be recovering, but en Friday last took a sudden turn for the worse and succumbed on Saturday. The body was interred at Hamilton. Deceased was a member of the Tenth Contingent to South Africa.
