It is said that Germany is to build a ship 876 feet long and i>s feet wide, and that as soon as the White Stai Olympia is launched, Messrs Harland & Wolff will place on the slips a vessel 300 feet long. Liverpool at pre sent could not accomodate vessels of that kind ; but a new Mersey dorlof 1020 feet lorrg and 120 feet wid< is about to be begun, and to be completed within three years.—"Magazine of Commerce."
