REASSURING NEWS. MORE MONEY IP NEEDED TO COMPLETE ROAD. The following communication has been received by Mr A. Scholes, Chairman of Waitomo County Council, following on the interview which he and Mr W. Johnstone had with the Minister in Wellington : "Referring to the interview which you and Mr W. Johnstone had with mo on the 7th inst., in regard to the formation of a road from the Tangitu Improved Farm settlement to the Waimiha railway station, I find that; under date of the sth inst., Cabinet approved of the epxenditure of £2250 for the purpose of pumicing and fascining the road in question, and the Public WorKS Department was in structed to carry out the work as early as possible. If the above Bum is not sufficient to complete the work, then an additional amount will be provided in due course.—D. BUDDO, Minister of Landß."
