OHURA COUNTY MATTERS.
By Telegraph —Own Correspondent. Obura, This Day, Messrs G. Loveday, chairman of the Ohura County Council, and J. F. MeClenaghan, clerk, attend the Matspuna bridge commission at Taumarunui to-morrow, after which they proceed to Auckland to go into the matter of placing lessees of native land on the valuation roll, with the object of rating. Work on the service road on the Te Koura-Ohura railway has been commenced at the 12-mile peg on the Ohura main road. The intention is to complete that distance between there and Te Koura and gangs are working at both ends. Difficulty is experienced in obtaining men.
