ARIA SPORTS.
By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent. Aria, This Day. Owing to inclement weather on Thursday, the sports were postponed till yesterday, but owing to a continuation of the unpleasant weather conditions, the attendance was not great. There was good competition in the various events. J. O'Sullivnn, of Te Kuiti, won the standing and underhand chop. Arrangements were complete in every way and the committee are deserving of congratulations. Mr F. J. Mayne, the secretary, contributed materially to the success of the gathering. Following are the results:—

Hurley 2. Maiden Chop.—G. H. Smith 1, Dense 2. Handicap Chop 15in standing block. —J. O'Sullivan 1, G. H. Smith 2. Underhand Chop.—J. O'SulMvan 1, M. Andresen 2. Horse - jumping competition. H. Houghton's Doctor 1. Ladies' Bracelet. —P. Coburn's Sandy 1. Single Ladies' Race. Miss N. Mayne 1. Married Ladies' Race. Mrs F. Mayne 1. In the evening a successful dance was held in the new hall, when a large number was present.
