The result of the prohibition and local option polls taken on December 7th are published in to-nignt'a Gazette. Tho totals are as under:— Prohibition issue.--Number of electors on rolls .500,012, votes against prohibition 205,661, for prohibition 259,948. Tho number of valid votes recored on the prohibition issue was 46-5,604.
Local Option polls. -- For continuance 237,025, for no-licenso 234,656. The valid votes recorded in this issue were 471,681.
