ATHLETICS.

Te Kuiti Sports Club's annua! meeting has this year been fixed for March 27th, and a very liberal programme is advertised. The events include, in addition to the usual foot races, special chopping and sawing competitions which should attract large entries from all quarters. There is also every probability of Highland piping and dancing being added to tha programme providing the necessary arrangements can be made. Points prizes are to be given for both athletic and chopping events, the handsome cup presented by Messrs Albrechtsen and Chilcott being awarded to the former and a gold medal to the latter.
