He also outlined a scheme of increasing the objects of the company. It was suggested that another factory be erected at Lemon Point, with a bacon factory attached. The report also added that the prospects of the forthcoming season were good, and it was anticipated the cream from 1000 cows wuold be dealt with. In an interview on Monday, Mr Stanley said that he had great belief in the future of the district. He said that there had been many pessimists in the district, who thought he was ahead of the times, but they had now altered their minds, and were now as ptimistic as he was. I'or instance, he continued, they cannot get away from facts. Up to the end of last month GOO boxes of butter had been exported since the beginning of October, besides 50 boxes that were used for local consumption. The first month's manufacture was 192 cwts., and each succeeding month showed an increase with the result that during thepresert month it was anticipated that the output would exceed six tons. The directors had decided on considering the advisability of importing a number of purebred pigs for supply to shareholders only, at the lowest possible cost, with a view of assisting them in malting tho dairying industry in their district a success. Suppliers were al3o forming an association with the object of importing the best milking strains. Another important feature that the company was carrying uot, was that they were encouraging settlers who were doubtful of the producing powers of any cow to send samples ot the mlik to be tested, in order to cull satisfactorily.
