KING COUNTRY A. AND P. SHOW.
The first show to be held under the auspices of the King Country Agricultural and Pastoral Assocition is to eventuate to-morrow, and matters are well in train for a highly successful function. With over seven hundred entries in the. various classes it will be seen that public interest in the show is keen and widespread and with fine weather prevailing there is little doubt of a successful gathering being the result.
Thoroughly competent judges have been secured for the various classes, a matter upon which the executive is to be congratulated, and some excellent stock exhibits are catalogued. The stewards have been putting in good work making ready for ,the accommodation of stock and matters should go smoothly when the exhibits arrive.
An item at to-morrow's show which should prove of considerable benefit to the show funds is the sale of a sheep donated by Mr T. Pine. The sheep is to be put up lor sale by each succeeding as long as a bid is forthcoming, and the money received is to be donated to the Association. The suggestion the sheep auction belongs to Mr Pine, who is giving the sheep for the purpose.
