GIRL'S DOUBLE MURDER

Yvonne Bertellier, aged 17, a brilliant musician, fatally shot with a revolver her mother and her step-father while they were asleep in bed at St. Denis.
She then ran to her lover's liou.se, in the middle of the night, and confessed the crime, alleging llint her step-father had ill-used her mother. TAMWORTH TRAGEDY. Sydney, Wednesday. In connection with the tragedy at Glenrnoan, near Tamworth which resulted in a farm labourer named Lawless killing a girl, Una Cover, and wounding her mother- -evidence was given that Lawless was of a brooding disposition, and that the Cover* wore his only friends. No reason for tho crime was given. TVig plea that the accused, Lawless, was suffering from mental delusions was not upheld, and he was sentenced to death.
