TE KUITI-AWAKINO ROAD.

SPECIFICATIONS APPROVED. CONTRACT TO BE LET. The Waitomo County Council has been apprised of the fact that the specifications for metalling the Te Kuiti-Awakino road have been approved by the Public Works Department, and the work is to be put in hand without delay. Tenders are to be called immediately, and with a decent spell of fine weather it is hoped that the greater portion of the road between Te Kuifi and Pio Pio will be metalled before winter. The carrying out of this important work with the utmost expedition is of the greatest importance to the district and settlers are anxiously hoping for a sufficient stretch of fine weather to enable the contract to be fulfilled without a break.
