PORTUGAL'S LABOUR TROUBLES.

A farm labourers' strike led to a sympathetic strike of all trades in the Enara district, and a general strike at Lisbon. Lisbon, Tuesday. When the strike began a band of anarchists took possession of the Trade Unionists' headquarters at Lisbon and incited the strikers to assassination and pillage. The troops thereupon surrounded the headquarters forbidding entry. The newspapers are not appearing; shops and theatres are closed. Tho Covernmenl has taken measures to prevent a bread famine. Soldiers are protecting the gas and electricity plants. Two bomb explosions have, taken place and the strikers have wrecked tramcars. Shipping on the Tagus is paralysed.
