The first of the intercolonial swimming contests between Sydney and Waitemata Clubs wan decided taut night at the Albert. Street Hath. Jn (.ho 410 yards match inter dub race M. Champion lowered his New Zealand record from f>.M .'!-.'> to .'>.-IS. this event, being won by Champion with Wilson second and E. Uoardman (Sydney) third. Sydney won the M<> yardu relay race. Miss Dumck, the Aimt.ralian lady champion, won the ladieit' handicap of 'M\ yards, in 20 1 ■'>.
