KIRITEHERE-MOEATQA.

Own Correspondent,

Mangaohae annual picnic and sports were held on the Government grounds near Mr Were's farm on the 16th inst., and the event proved to be a great success, visitors attending from all parts of the district. A dance in Mr Were's woolshed ended the day's sport, and now we eagerly look forward to the time when fate will again be propitious. There are no "happenings" in regard to county matters. The interested parties are like "Brer Rabbit," lying low and "saying nuffin"
