The monthly meeting of directors of the Ohura Co-operative Dairy Factory Company, L.td., was held at Niho Niho last week. Present Messrs W. Sanderson (chairman), D. J. Bruce, C. Coffin and E. Mossman. Mr C. Geisler, of Otangiwai, was appointed a director to replace Mr E. Owens. It was decided to pay out the same cash price for butter-fat as for last month, viz., 8d per lb, Bhare holders to be credited with Jd per lb extra on amounts owing for shares. The amount of butter made for the month was 19,71«1b5, as against 17.1561bs for the corresponding month of last year, which was considered very satisfactory when the poorness of the season was taken into consideration. Accounts amounting to £854 17s 3d were passed for payment. The Ohura A. and P. Association will hold their second annual show on March 14th. A meeting of those interested in the erection of a butter factory in or near Mangaroa is to b9 held on January 31st. The annual meeting of the Ohura Saleyards Company, Ltd., was held in the Mangaroa Public Hall on 13th inst., when the directors' report and balance - sheet were unanimously adopted. The three retiring directors were Messrs Stevenson, Sandison and Williams, all of whom were reelected unopposed. The meeting concluded with a hearty vote of thanks to the directors for the very able manner in which they have conducted the affairs of the company for the past year. Mr W. K. Wililams, chairman of the Ohura School Committee, has received a letter from the Auckland J Education Board stating that the i Minister has authorised a grant for the enlargement of the school and that the architect has been instructed to prepare plans and invite tenders for the work. Miss D. Moore has been appointed assistant teacher in the Mangaroa school. The appointment is due to the increased attendance.
